The Community Tree

Bringing people together through horticultural & floricultural arts & crafts

Recognising that not all people share the love of gardening, the Community Tree is a great way to bring people together to enjoy horticulture and floriculture through arts and crafts.

Our 3.5m x 1.5m tree is decorated and displayed throughout the year themed by the different seasons or for different reasons.

Constructed with a metal frame, different art & craft mediums will be used to cover the tree to give opportunity to individuals of all abilities and skill to contribute. At the end of each display the decorations will be repurposed for further use in the community.

We are so grateful to all the individuals and community groups that regularly take part including:

  • The Collingwood Trefoil Guild
  • Church Gresley Brownies & Guides
  • Newhall Brownies
  • Newhall WI
  • Springfield Nursery School
  • Belmont Primary School
