Swad in Bloom Garden Gang

The next Garden Gang date is Saturday 3rd June - to meet outside No2 Coffee House on The Delph at 10am. For updates please visit our our Facebook page @SwadinBloom or email flowers@swadinbloom.org

Since 2021 Swad in Bloom has been given access to a number of garden beds and areas to transform from what was once derelict spaces into colourful, green and abundant places.

The Morrisons Garden Bed, High Street

Following intial excavations by Morrisons Swadlincote, the bed to the left of the Morrisons Step was made accessible to Swad in Bloom volunteers to plant up ready for the Spring. With an innovative garden design plenty of progress has been made and the bed is beginning to bloom

Regular tidying up, pruning and planting is having a positive effect on the garden beds leading from the Bus Station Car Park through to The Delph.

The New Pocket Park, Belmont Street, Swadlincote

As part of the South Derbyshire District Council's plan to revitalise the ground between Midland Road and Belmont Street with a new car park and a pocket park, Swad in Bloom is eagerly awaiting its completion to be able to take on regular care of the park, creating a wonderful place to rest and reflect throughout the day.
